Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Jennifer Maisel is a Partner at Rothwell, Figg, Ernst & Manbeck, P.C., where she focuses her practice on intellectual property law and litigation, and co-chairs the firm’s artificial intelligence (AI) practice team. With a degree in Information Science, Systems, and Technology, she has hands-on experience developing language models for natural language processing applications, and has been advising clients on IP, data protection, and privacy issues in the space for over ten years at Rothwell Figg. For large corporations and emerging companies, she also routinely represents clients with breakthrough innovations in virtual reality, big data, the Internet of Things, privacy, cybersecurity, quantum, and blockchain technologies.

2. Alex More is a Partner and member of the Executive Committee at Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, L.L.P. His practice focuses on high-stakes commercial disputes, securities and fiduciary duty litigation, digital assets, and artificial intelligence. Mr. More co-founded the firm’s Artificial Intelligence practice group and frequently serves as outside general counsel to technology startups and entrepreneurs navigating AI adoption, compliance, and risk.

3. Shannon Yavorsky is a Partner at Orrick, where she co-leads the firm’s global Cyber, Privacy & Data Innovation group and the firm’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) practice. She is a leading authority on United States and European privacy, cybersecurity and AI issues. She helps global companies navigate the increasingly complex global privacy, cybersecurity and AI regulatory landscape. Ms. Yavorsky also advises public and private companies across sectors such as life sciences, health technology, financial services, private equity, insurance, social media and technology on a wide range of EU and U.S. federal and state privacy, security and AI laws. She advises clients across diverse industries on designing tailored AI use policies and compliance frameworks, including innovative tools such as Gen AI Policy Builder and Privacy in a Box.
