Benefits:

The huge expansion in Airbnb, VRBO, and short-term rentals has generated tremendous economic benefits as well as challenges to home owner associations and local governments. At the same time, legal issues involving trip cancellations, case law updates, zoning rules, sales, and taxation of short-term properties have created an unprecedented need for counsel fluent in the practice area. The rules vary greatly and have evolved in recent years. The faculty for this seminar features several authorities, who will introduce you to land use and zoning rules, regulations involving HOA’s, covenants affecting short-term rental properties, mixed use rules, and future regulations impacting Airbnb rentals. The faculty will also cover legal issues involving owners of condos and co-ops, contractual issues, and claims involving short-term rental properties. Registration includes online access to course and reference materials that serve as a helpful guide to the numerous topics and techniques discussed in the program.
