Biography of Seminar Faculty:

1. Zachary B. Pyers is a Partner at Reminger, where he litigates ridesharing, complex commercial, professional liability, tort, and class action matters. He represents clients in commercial disputes, including breach of contract claims, antitrust actions, covenants not to compete, and business torts. In his professional liability practice, Mr. Peyers represents attorneys, accountants, architects, engineers, surveyors, builders, real estate agents, insurance agents, directors & officers, and investment advisors in litigation and licensure proceedings. He also counsels several corporate clients on transactional matters. Mr. Pyers is an Adjunct Professor at Capital University Law School, where he teaches the school’s Mock Trial Competition Team and assisted in developing and teaches a course in depositions, electronic discovery, and expert witnesses. He is also a widely sought-after speaker and author on arbitration, torts, pleadings, and depositions. Mr. Pyers has received numerous awards for excellence in practice, including recognition by his peers as AV Preeminent Rated, listed as a SuperLaywer, and including as a “Top Lawyer” by several publications.

2. Kenton H. Steele is a Partner at Reminger, where he focuses on matters involving medical malpractice defense and general liability. Mr. Steele’s representative matters include a case involving facial scarring from a medical procedure, where a default judgment had already been obtained before counsel was retained. Mr. Steele was able to show a defect in service that required the Court to vacate the judgment, providing for a meritorious defense to the claim, and an ultimate victory in the case. He has also obtained favorable recoveries in a number of subrogation case involving property damage and achieved favorable resolutions in multiple high-exposure long-term care cases involving allegations of nursing negligence.

3. Taylor E. White is a Shareholder at Winstead PC, where he is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. Mr. Wade has served as a devoted resource for employers and managers facing workplace issues in courts and conference rooms. He regularly advises employers on requirements and best practices regarding discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under state and federal employment laws, and he often counsels clients on a myriad of litigation avoidance strategies. Mr. White has represented clients for claims of breach of contract; employment-related torts; wage and hour violations; trades secrets misappropriation; restrictive covenant breaches; discrimination, harassment and retaliation issues; and, other state and federal law issues stemming from workplace disputes. He further assists employers navigate government audits and investigations, including proceedings brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and their state-level counterparts. Mr. White also handles mediations and settlement negotiations in a wide range of matters from multi-million dollar trade secrets cases and general business disputes to intellectual property and employment litigation.
